Street Fighter II, the most amazing video game of my LIFE!
Long live the SNES versions! And the arcade ones too.
I used to waste hours and quarters galore at the local Mac's playing as Vega on the acarde!! (that is until the SNES version let you when SFII Turbo came out)

I haven't touched my PS3 in months, but Marvel vs Capcom 3 is pretty bad ass.
As for Street Fighter 2, I remember hanging out in arcades 20 years ago playing this game. I still remember the first reveal of the three boss characters, back then we thought you had to fight the 8 fighters and it was game over.
(After seeing the reveal of Balrog, Vega and Sagat I nearly crapped my pants. Imagine my surprise when I saw there was a guy after Sagat...) |

after seeing dhalsim's stage in india with those elephants, I was hooked. I was a button masher until the MK series, specifically MKII with the reptile force ball->uppercut->spit->slide combo, so for me street fighter 2 was all about blanka's electrify, or e-honda's thousand hand slap.
I remember those godly guys who used zangief almost exclusively and were able to pull off that piledriver, something I could never do.
As much as I respect street fighter for starting it all, I still think the MK and Killer Instinct seres' were better. |
