That's great bro! I love when the government decides what I get to listen to because they don't think I'm smart enough to figure it out for myself. So funny! :haha: :haha:

That's a little bit condescending. The reality of the situation is that a very large percentage of the population isn't. The whole essence of "news" is that it's rooted in fact, not fiction.

Does the government than abolish all regulations regarding misleading information with respect to consumer products? Should I be smart enough to know that companies are lying to me about the composition of their products?

1. You're quoting a HuffPo article editorializing about journalistic integrity. Delicious irony.

2. The analogy to Fox News is completely spurious; nobody I know has ever referred to Sun TV as "Fox News North", and the only references I can find to any sort of issue with the Radio Act are - surprise - in that very article (reprinted in various places).

3. To that point, the CRTC actually approved Fox News in 2004. Durrrr, I can has Wikipedia?

4. The proposal wasn't Harper's. It was from a committee of mainly opposition members.

5. "Corporate robber barons"? My cup runneth over.

Honestly, anybody who can actually read that drivel without busting a gut (from laughter or vomiting, I'm not sure which) needs to go back to the 3rd grade.
