Am I the only one underwhelmed? The hope I had was that apple was finally going to take care of the deficiencies in the last iteration. Make this one slightly more business oriented, seeing how businesses are desperately trying to incorporate it but have to struggle to make it useable. For example - run office apps, store files, possibly even a smart card reader... Instead, we got a faster CPU and some size shaving. Bah humbug.
So, what u think of the new "magical. Amazing. Unicorn-breeding game-changer. Again"
Full disclosure: typed on my first gen iPad |
About storing files. I would use something like Dropbox or sugarsync for that. |

| Not enough of a feature upgrade to justify the expense. My current one does exactly what it needs to, and I was only going to bother with it if the new one had storage expansion, higher resolution, significantly longer battery life, and/or something really cool that I don't even know about. It delivers on zero of those. |

Fine for home user, doesn't do for me if I want to do real work offline. Also, corporations are still slow to swallow the "cloud" pill, due lack of control and transparency in third party security. The business use of iPad has been largely ignored... Again.
I could have easily sold an 800+ iPad solution, on a single small scale project, had this been properly addressed. Instead, iPad continues to be the tool of choice for passing time, while taking the Browns to the Superbowl. |

Yup, my thoughts exactly... But people will lap it up like it was an Apple-branded product. |

Except porn. |

| Well, I've never really been an iPad fan. But, if you're in the market for an HD video camera anyway.... ::shrug:: Maybe it's not that horrible of a purchase after all. |

| id like a 17" iPad Pro Nano with OSX SabreTiger with only a dialwheel for operating, optical/coax digital sound output in addition to dual balanced stereo XLR (to put into a analog dj mixer from the 80s). It wouldnt need HD cause everything was/is/gonna be streamed from your iPhone PRO (which is just a aluminum chunk with no buttons, displays or anything, but is where everything is comput3d), outsource all cpu usuage so that the iPad can run for 100days without charge. and it will charge wirelessly with the radiation from the alu ihphone pro chunk as long as you are closer than 100m to the chunk. If not all your lightbulbs will enlight instead. |
