Highly recommend it, Jenners. Been using it for something like 8-10 years I think at this point (has it really been that long?). Ever since I first learn about it in uni. |
+1
I find it works better than AVG. Great piece of software. |

These are the top 2 AntiVirus programs and have been for years:
BitDefender
Kaspersky
I have been using BitDefender for 3+ years and it has been the most thorough AV program I have ever used without slowing down your computer to a snail's pace. Kaspersky is just as good, if not better for being thorough but it uses more resources and is much more expensive.
Check out this site for in depth reviews of the top Antivirus programs available. It will give you all the details on each program:

Windows Security Essentials works best with Windows 7 machines.
It is free, kept up to date, defends better than most and is easy on system resources.
Highly recommended.

in short: me.
I have battled and beaten so many of the 'next gen' malicious software over the last few years that norton updates my computer almost hourly to make me feel like I'm actually getting value for my subscription. I must have been the first to document a recent 'ransom ware' infection in their database or something. |

| If you are fed up with windows virus you can install linux ubuntu and add software like office 2007, nero, ares, adobe reader, fireworks and so on. Even you can install a Windows 7 theme. |

LOL, thanks :)
Hi Knoxobot! :D
So I tried Avast and it isn't that I don't like it, but it isn't good enough for me to connect to work from home. It keeps saying that I don't have a good enough AVP.
I think I am gonna give Windows Security Essentials a shot now.
Thanks for all the different directions to go. |
