That track up there sounds nice. I wish it had some of the percussion from magic journey though (those awesome hats and stuff).

I honestly doubt it. He made his name playing and producing trance music, and was the biggest name in the DJ-ing world for about a decade maybe. I am sure that a lot of the people that go see him spin these days get confused when he plays mostly house music.
I, for one, would love to put his ass into a time machine and hear him play one of his circa-2002 sets. He was the absolute man back then...played such a great blend of music...progressive, trance, and techno.

I don't know why, but this track sounds 100x better when played live in that YouTube video. I like it.

I don't know why a lot of people are surprised by this, Tiesto still releases some amazing tracks.
His remix of Faithless - tweak your nipple is really amazing
Also his track with Kaskade - Only you, the vocals, pads and synths have that classic Tiesto feel to it. very emotional and energetic.
His sets might not be epic like before, but his tracks are still some of the best out today, he cleverly designs his tracks to reach both genres, house and trance. I have to say he does it very well. Listening to this allure track it sounds like another amazing track that does reach both genres.
