Hey everyone

Just moved over here (toronto) from the UK and been trying to get into the trance scene and was wondering if anyone ever used to to attend Gatecrasher in Sheffield, Godskitchen in Birmingham or goodgreef nights?

I went to see Dash berlin @Guvernment and it was pretty good.

Please let me know as would love to get into the trance groove over.

Vola lounge has been bringing in some awesome trance talent over the last couple of years.

It would have been nice to have attended the old Gatecrasher days, but alas, most of us were too young! Sorry.

See you around.

Hey, I used to go to God's loads, but still haven't been to Guv, maybe because I'm not into modern trance as much, although I do miss Armin's marathon sets in the Kitchen. I never went to Goodgreef, as I always associated it with hard house/trance. I also went to Crasher a couple of times, including the last ever event at Republic, when Matt Hardwick closed the night with 'Seven Cities', followed by this final track :)

Ya went to Gods to see ferry corsten and above and beyond about 4 years ago... It was a good club but in the other room they had pryda and someone else from swedishmafia......Been to crasher loads dont think you can beat the buzz back in republic it was amazing..
But ya trance is old music but it still gets me going..
Are there any good house venues, like dirty house progressive etc????

I know, before I came here, I used to think that I'd be at Guv every week! Instead, I've inadvertently ended up getting hooked to Zone, haha. I've been to enough superclub-type places in England, so I kept on putting it off by telling myself that I may not be missing out on much. On the other hand, Zone has a kind of inimitable charm and character that I've never seen before. I'm going to make sure that I check out Guv within the next few months, as it is one of those things that has to be done...before it becomes a condo!

LOOOOVE Gatecrasher, one of my favs.... BUT mid 90s "trance" was called "house" and those of us who are as old as me, grew with the music

What I am trying to say is, I have only ever loved HOUSE.

(and the term "trance" most definitely dates back to the early 90s)
