So let me show you the rave I went to on Friday night filled with black lights, neon colours, glowsticks, backpacks, fuzzy leg warmers, soothers, beads & bracelets...

BRISK & TRIXXY - EYE OPENER!! :d :d

Nakatomi - Children Of The Night [2002 Remix]

I still believe a real rave is illegal and this party was definitely legal. Cops showed up and let it continue. Having said that, it still had a huge rave feel as you can see.

...and before anyone asks why I went, it was to support two of my friends that were dj'n... and no, one of them was not the robot :p I actually really enjoy the music very much, but the all ages thing made me really old :(

I could be wrong, but isn't Paladin (the robot) also S.O.S?

I wish I could still go to these parties....I love the music but I'm way to old to go to an all ages party.

Man, you should've gone to Email's party at the Elmo a couple weeks back! Half the people there were in their 30's at least. :p

And as far as the all-ages thing goes, it really depends on the party. Even in my early 20s I've been to a few where even I felt like a creepy old man (and unsurprisingly, those ones sucked anyway). On the other hand, for the actual worthwhile events with the big-name headliners and promoters and all, enough of the older ravers show up that it at least feels...not-so creepy.

A few years ago I went to an all ages party at The Docks and these kids, probably around 16, came up to me and were so impressed that someone my age was still raving. My friend and I spent a good half hour talking to them about the old days.

Come on then, Kotsy, try to convert me to the hardcore cause: what are some hardcore classics, if that's not an oxymoron? :p I've got to say, I do love the old school vibe that hardcore devotees are helping to keep alive.

as much as I am a fan of the music I pretty much know nothing in terms of actual tracks. The ones I labeled above the videos are almost everything I know :p
The Potter
Well, if those are the scene's classics, God help their music! Even the part that I did like was from another, more famous track :D :

Respectfully, I don't understand how anybody can enjoy this sound.

All I see are shots of the DJ booth; was there an actual party going on?

I've never been a big fan of the hardcore but I could see how it could be fun in, um, certain circumstances.....

I did like the black lights and glo-sticks though...

I'm with you Scott... Maybe 10 years ago I would've checked it out but not now...
