Concept by Storyteller

Ok it's been years since I've actually started a thread in this part of TA but it changes now ;). I'd love some feedback on the above track. It's still a concept mind you. Also the reverb when the bassline comes in is unintentional and that will be removed in a next render.

Feedback very much appreciated!

I love it! Really well produced pleasant sound and summerish riffs. Maybe few little additional leads to make it more catchy and interesting, but even without them it's really nice!

Hehe thanks Anssi :)

This sounds really awesome, I love the break too. Super polished sound!

Too bad SoundCloud is always such low quality by default. I definitely like it though. I just wish you'd ease up a bit on that master limiter. ;) The drop at 2:55 sounds especially distorting, and I always believe there's no need to be limiting so much if the track is good.

Do you ever find your tracks lacking in treble frequencies, or is this the sound you're going for? Otherwise I think you could definitely boost the treble instruments.

Thanks, I've noticed the master volume and distortion. I just slapped it on to get it a lot louder haha, which of course you don't like :).

And yes I have noticed the treble thing but for some reason it never really did something with it (goes for multiple tracks actually). Thanks for the info, I'll surely take it all into account!

Thank you too Sako, glad you like it too!

I don't think it needs any more hi frequences. In synthetic club music that is designed to play super loud, it's good to have less treble. A lot of edm tracks hurt my ears when played loud.

Got myself a paid Soundcloud account so I can re-upload and maintain comments in there :).

I made some minor changes to certain instruments so it has some more high definition. I think it was little work but it feels like a big improvement already. I also took the limiter down by a lot.

I've got some other ideas (amongst the one Anssi made) I might implement . We'll see. Thanks foor the feedback for now.

Really like your production values and I also tend not to like too much in the hi freq area.

Only one little crit I'd suggest. The timing of the main plucky synth throughout could be slightly adjusted and perhaps even varied here n there just to max on the originality front.

Otherwise great track.

Cool concept so far, really like how you control this rhythmical (groove) environment, smooth and easy going but with a lot of character!!!. To my taste, if you could add arp+lead playing some more melodic line, would add some cool and needed variations to your already perfectly created base melody, but this quality of this track is awesome, clean and smooth as baby ass lol lol lol

Cheers,

Like the track and stabs, don't like the percussion loop, too monotone and way to harsh/hard. I agree with the other guys not so much wrong with the instruments in the highs
would probably make the percussion a bit more interesting, less loud and less harsh. would make the stabby chords a bit more resonant to create some depth, so VCO a bit lower, reso a bit higher and find the sweetspot with your cut-off, stay on the warm side though.. (and maybe a little bit more verb or a wetter room)
