The UN Security council voted on whether to support a no-fly zone and cease fire that was practically begged for by the people of Libya. The vote passed I believe 10-0 with 5 abstentions. Now the US is participating in the enforcing of that resolution, along with many other countries, including Arab nations.
Basically the US are getting the ball rolling, and are then going to hand over control to the UN. |

Gracias. Thats sort of the idea I had in my head, but I prefer knowing real facts before I start getting involved in topics I am not sure about....... |

No ground troops? Hmmm, I seem to recall many other Presidents express these same words, and some how troops end up going in. |

No the reason the world hates the US is because we as Americans are arogant. Think are don't stink, and believe we are the best country in the world, and everyone should be like us. We stick are noses in where they should not belong. This is conflict that needs to dealt with by the Arab Nation. Who do think supplies them with fighter jets? We do. F-15's, F-16's. Let them enforce the no fly zone.
Should I remind you that these people you want to help are the same people who, A) clapped with twin towers came down. B) the same people who cheered for the Pan Am Flight and same people who cheered on the release of the mastermind beyond that attack.
So once explain, how I'm the reason why people us? |
