Yeah, The Psychedelic Furs are playing a 6pm show (was gonna try to go, but tix were a bit pricey). They have a strict "everybody out by 10pm" rule for that show, though. Still, the doors for Gareth likely won't open until 11pm.
You guys have fun at Gareth! Tickets were just too expensive by the time I saw them. I'll be at Circus. :P

I read on facebook that the doors tonight won't open till 11. There is a band playing before pushing the sound check and set up back.
Lol, on a night where this major EDM event is happening? It's not like it's a regular club event. That's funny. Only in Hollywood would production groups even bother with that on regular occasion (though it did happened once with Armin here in SF at Ruby Skye, but they did it right and had Markus open at Slide which is right under Ruby skye then the whole party/crowd shifted upstairs to Ruby Skye at midnight and Armin came on....and I don't remember anything because I was drugged [seriously, think from these asses I was getting on who were shoving markus' setup in Slide around because they were all screwed up on something] and got tore up and went home 20 minutes Armin's set. Only thing I remember was knowing something was wrong and as I was trying to get outside, security knew something was wrong and helped me out. It was horrible. I think it was GHB, but not sure. Never had it voluntarily.

My phone and FaceBook/Twitter has been lit up with peopple ting on getting inside the place and are pissed. Hope they make up for it once they are inside.

I got there at midnight and waited in line for almost an hour. They started moving the line really fast towards 1am which was good because I just wanted to be inside before Gareth starts. Amazing show....just didn't like how he plays 3 of his hit songs twice.

It was kinda effed up from the beginning. Alot of people showed early cause they didn't know that Gareth was pushed back to 11. The line wrapped all the way down Gower at around 11:30.
The reason Me and so many others were pissed was because they originally had us form one line (ticketed, will-call, and hopefuls).
It was only about 11:40 or so did they finally tell everyone that there's as separate queue for will call and ticketed, so we all had to trek to the other side (el centro) to get in a new line that went around the corner again! It was just frustrating for alot of people.
(Speaking of which, I hope the girl that ate the pavement while waiting in line was ok. Some girl went down hard on the back of her head while waiting in line to get in. Everytime I see like that, I really wish people would just know your limit and be responsible, but I do feel bad for the girl.)
... Sorry if that sounded like a rant, I guess it kinda was but I just wanted to convey the experience accurately.
As for the show itself, I thought it was a pretty good set. Had some classics in there like As the Rush Comes (Motorcycle) and Silence, and I think I actually heard Ferry's Punk twice.
Admittedly, I'm more of a house kinda guy, but I went with some friends and had a pretty good time. I don't know if it was a $50 worth of good time lol.

Yeah, the line was bull. ing Insomniac, as long as they keep making money, they don't give a . (a friend ended up having an extra ticket, so I rolled over there after Circus).
Got in line at 10:45pm. Got inside the venue at 12:15am. Thank the Jesus that Gareth decided not to go on until 1am.
Dear Insomniac: When you know it's a sold out event and everyone does Will-Call, HAVE MORE THAN ONE STAFFER FOR WILL-CALL TICKETS! I'm starting to think you won't learn until every 18-20 year old at your events OD's and you turn into Fresh.
Gareth's set was good, but not great. 4am-5am was the best part of the set to me. Then again, songs like "On a Good Day" and "Sanctuary" are crowd-pleasers, but I don't care for them. To each his/her own, I guess.

my friends and i got there at about midnight to see the line stretching around the corner, so we just headed into the bar next door and had a couple drinks, then wandered back at 1:00 and there was no line. got inside, and right after getting drinks he comes on and opens with 'arrival.' it was almost poetic.
pretty good show, i'm glad he ended up playing the full 4 hour set. a bit strange that he played some songs multiple times, but i guess they were crowd-pleasers. i enjoyed the out of myself, so w/e, good on you gareth :)
jdub889
also, if anyone was there and can possibly remember what track he played in between on a good metropolis day and veracocha - carte blanche, i'd really love to know what it was. trying to find a vid, but not many up on YT yet.
DaveT
I guess this dude recorded the ENTIRE set....45 parts. Here's the first one ;P
