Help with Audiophile 2496 card

Hi!
I have just purchased a Midiman Audiophile 2496 soundcard, but I'm having some trouble installing it..
After installing I get trouble with playing ordinary audiofiles such as mp3s from winamp and so-on, I even got trouble getting any sound from Fruity Loops and Cakewalk.
But I do get sound from the "line in" where my synth is plugged in.
I only use the analogue ins and outs..
Does anyone know what I should do about this? |

| Do you have an amd cpu and motherboard based on via chipset? I heard there are some problems with audio and the buggy via chipset |

nope, I'm 99% sure that I have "Socket A"
Well, I got sound from Cakewalk last night but it played for 1 sec, got a drop out, then started too loop itself, so I gues It might be some latency problems.. as for Winamp, I hva noe idea what to do :confused: |
