Tom Haley – Not Because – Out Now on Mistique Dream Recordings

Styller's Mistique Dream imprint is now up to release number five and it's already gained an impressive following over just a short amount of time.

Armin Van Buuren, Markus Schulz and Andy Moor have been regular supporters of the first four releases and with a superb fifth release from Tom Haley Mistique Dream continues to build momentum as spring fast approaches. Tom has been a DJ in Slovakia sine 2007 where he played at the biggest Slovak festival 'Beefree'. His 'Not Because' single which is out his week is his first official release under the Tom Haley artist name. Tom's original mix is pretty much the perfect progressive / trance hybrid. A moderate tempo with tough beats and a really solid groove impacted by some excellent synth hooks. The melodic lead however is what really makes the record exceptional. A supremely classy and well-crafted piano line that will stand the test of time. There is nothing cheesy about it at all and it melds perfectly with the surrounding soundscapes that Tom has created.
The lone remix is supplied by Sebastian Jacobsen who follows up his outstanding 'Dalahast' single which was the first release on Mistique Dream back in October of 2010. Sebastian's 'Not Because' remix is exactly what the package needs to push it further into full on trance territory. He has uped the tempo slightly and created a much more driving peaktime groove with some razor sharp synths and a big room energy. The massive lead chords that fade in at around the 3 minute mark should have most trance floors begging for more and when the piano finally gets dropped in the second breakdown all the elements come together perfectly for an epic finale.
A proper trance record and a great overall release from Styller's Mistique Dream.
