LANGE036 sees a return to the label for US duo Deep Voices with singer / songwriter, Alexander Klaus, following their incredible Heart of Glass in 2010. Alexander also recently featuring on label owner Lange’s album, Harmonic Moton, for the epic single, Strong Believer.
Their return is with yet another beautiful single; gorgeous instrumental and a passionate vocal. The original kicks a punchy bassline with laidback guitar solo and rambling pads before dropping into Alexander’s expressive vocal with emotive backing; and a sing-a-long chorus that makes you question why this isn’t live on the Glastonbury main stage.
The Beltek Remix brings his statement driving baseline along with a more driving guitar lead; the vocal only introduced in the breakdown with a haunting introduction, and electro tinged exit before back to a driving big room production. The final remix from Oliver Reville is a more agitated production with a techno edge and meandering vocoded vocal, but with a soft centre in the breakdown.
This is an excellent package that spans progressive to tech, a high quality release with something for everyone.
