How do you use SoundForge to record live radio streams?

ive heard before that soundforge can record live radio streams but i dont know how to use it.....
and also i heard that it could be used to record and directly convert to mp3...
ive tried total recorder but it doesnt work(for some reason i get a lot of static) which lead me to soundforge which i had a copy of lying around
does ne one know how it can be used? |

use a little app called Rewire ...
it allows you to record what is playing on your comp and sent it back to your line input .. or something like that |

soundforge is pretty similar to cool edit pro (i.e. if this doesnt work then get CEpro from www.downloads.com )
so all u need to do is set ur record input (via the volume thingy in your system tray, file>properties>recording) to 'what you hear' or 'wave' and then press record in soundforge/CEpro and play whatever it is u want to record :)
in CEpro u can check the recording level by pressing F10 |

just a tip: I use wavelab...it got timer options so u dont have to be home when the set starts, 24bit/96khz recording(if your soundcard supports it) and a whole lot of tools/plugins to shape up your radiostream(the new multiband compressor in 4.0 rocks!)
