Could someone try and explain me how this works? Cause I can't do sh*t with it.
I launch the program, get logged in (share enough not to get kicked out) and when I try to search something, NOTHING happens!!!
It's like it's not working for me, for example when I try to browse a user's files, again NOTHING happens.
I'm on Cable so I'm online all the time.
Plz tell me how to get it workin'!!!!

ok, I calmed down... althought this thread has been done more times that mariah carey, the answer may be that
1) The ppl you are trying to download from have all it's sharing slots full. (btw, you should have at least 2 slots as u re in cable).
2) There are two modes you can use, active and passive. When u re behind a firewall or proxy or something like that u have to use passive mode, if not, u can't dload .
3) Maybe DC hates u and it won't let u dload anything. |

Ok, I switched to passive (I did not even know that I'm behind a proxy or firewall)

u may not be behind a firewall..
for some reason it doesnt like it unless i run in passive mode, and i certainly aint got no firewall.. DC is just a bit picky :) |

| some isps do have some sort of proxi that you get conectited to automacally (i do with ntl in the uk) so thats why |

I think you might have to learn to read first before going any further :toothless
when you connect to the hub it clearly marks to switch to passive mode if nothing happens ....
there's also a help file including with that program I believe ...

| for my anime hub in direct connect, i made a forum and a picture site. in the forum, under "Faq/tutorials", theres several tutorials on how to get past certain routers and be able to download in active mode... if you want to check them out, go to http://www.animeplanet.d2g.com ... click on "forum", then go to "faq/tutorials" and there are instructions for linksys and a few other routers. active is WAY more preferable if you take the time to get out of passive mode. |
