we were SO SAD to miss this! Who went??? it was a great game...eventhough they attacked messi hahaha butthat was to be expected especially after the press statement prior to the game NOTING that their intentions were to do so.

| was there for this. so glad messi played the full 90 instead of 45 like the friendly in 2008. onyewu looked lost out there, MF could not string together passes (actually the whole team). US needs to learn that sometimes to retain possession, they can pass ALL the way back to the GK instead of hoofing the ball blindly upfield. that being said, the team looked more cohesive with 4-4-2 after agudelo came on to replace jermaine jones. referee stupidly stopped a great messi run in the second half even though he had advantage. i thought the fix was in because the on-field officials were all mexican. obviously i had a better view of the fouls against the US from my seat in section 316. :o |
