Hi all,

I haven't been around here much lately, but I started a prog trance track yesterday, and I've put a clip of it up below:

Avatar One - Tau Ceti (early work in progress) by AvatarOne

Synths are 100% Sylenth, drums are all Reason 4's Redrum.

Not much to go on but it bops well.

I'd like to hear more twangy mids in that bassline you've already got working well.

With a double offbeat Untz takka tish percussion addition you'd have quite the groove on.

Funny you should say that, because I actually have a duplicate of the bassline with all the lows rolled off and just the mid-highs playing with distortion, but I muted the channel because I couldn't get it gelling properly. I know exactly what you mean though.

Thanks for listening!

Thanks mate. Yeah, I've been lucky so far, I've had quite a few 'big name' DJs support some of my stuff :)

Not much to go on but I like the sonix so far.

You're right, I put it up a bit too early! I've developed it a lot now, and I think it's the best trance tune I've ever done :)

Hiya mate, I see what you mean regarding power with this. There is a real warmth and depth to your bass sound yet to manage to retain a clarity with the other elements of the track. I really like the way this seems to be developing anyway. Looking forward to hearing more.
