alright so this question is about the send function..

basically any channel can be used as a send..so lets say i do that.. i bus a group of drums and send it to a channel that has reverb...now when i go and to control the knob..what i want is to control how much of the reverb my drums are getting ..basically thats what a send function is for right? control the wet and dry signal...but instead when i go to turn the knob.. its controlling the volume of the drums and not the actual effect but i can control the volume of the reverb itself from where i insert the effect..and i can control how much reverb i get from the reverb itself..so that leads me to ask the question is saving cpu power the only reason for sending stuff in fruity...:conf: ..

im not sure if all of this makes sense to you all so sorry...but maybe someone will get it.

aux efex like reverb and delay must be 100% wet (in the device), the send knob isnt adjusting dry/wet but just how much volume you are sending to the aux efex. its just a gain of the split feed-signal. then you have the pre/post button (well i dont know if fruity has it but normally on a mixer), this means that the level on the mixchannel will affect the sendknob or not (pre means that even if the channels volume is mute, you will still send the instrument signal via send to aux efex) ie, not recomended :) hope it helps.

disclaimer: i have never used FL, i just assume it works like any other mixer.

Yeah saving CPU is what sends are for. Sends are on the far right in the mixer, add whatever effects you'd like to route to multiple channels to it. Underneath the send are knobs that appear after clicking on one of the inserts to the left. Those knobs control how much of each effect is applied to whatever channel is lined to the selected insert.

I could explain this a lot better with a screenshot but I'm on my laptop, sorry if this doesn't make sense.
