Such as Label Worx etc

Are they worth looking into do you think?

Assuming I've already got a Beatport account set up and running i'm looking for a solution that'll get tracks out everywhere else. I'm more than happy to pay the percentage to keep my day clear of uploading tracks etc.

This is for a label, not an individual account.

Cheers

its not that much of work to upload the tracks yourself. less paperwork, fewer places where things can up, less people to rely on and divide the money on. its not difficult to get deals with all the edm sites (audiojelly, trackitdown, juno etc etc) if you already are on beatport. then theres really only iTunes left and you can get on iTunes by using this service im having a hard time remember the name. TUNECORE!

Alterego label claim to own labelworx but it doesn't seem to me as an outsider looking in tha it has any noticable positive effect on thier releases sucess or otherwise.

FM Mag did a big article on this sort of thing about 14 months ago or so. It was thier centre story.

This is what sets labels apart imo - promotion. Now, given that doing promotion effectively would be a full - on full time endeavour, I'm thinking your approach of only signing strong tracks is probably the best way forward in they hope they sort of find thier own momentum.

Well so far out of a dozen recommendations I've had a dozen different names thrown at me with most saying 'yeah i'm happy'.

I have to assume that means it doesn't really matter which one you choose. The question I have to ask myself is will the 20% fee result in more than fee cost in sales (given time of course)

Still, 20% of all is still all so I've got nothing to lose.

But I agree Rich, just signing strong tunes is the main way forward I think.
