| I can't see where your kick and bass are going exactly (maybe your kick is too loud, or they both are). Try reducing either the sub or bass frequency on the bass down with EQ. I don't like the timbre of the lead at 1:20 much, but that's a matter of taste. Your mids are quite pronounced in the mid region; try separating things more with EQ over the whole mid range and have each instrument play their particular part. Lastly don't compress the mixdown as there's really no need to. Just have the peak level peak well below clipping. Sorry that's mostly negative, but you did ask for feedback. :) |

Typing as I listen
Like the melo intro synths and that floating mid bass is cool.
When the clap comes at .30, it doesn't sound right - it's not as cool as the other sounds. I'd use a totaly different one - much more loose and deadmauish with some crackle.
At 40 - the sudden stopping of the beat didn't flow - consider a woosh or something to signal it's cooming up and maybe have one of the percs echo quietly when the kick stops.
That first break is very good and everything works. One NASTY lead sound around 1.40 I don't like.
Ah, later on that nasty lead sounds reappeared - it's way harsh for me.
Overall mate a very good bit of work - just make a few sound adjustments and yer good to go. |

Atlantis : no worries ! thats actually awesome feedback! you got one hell of a pair of ears, hearing all this stuff :p just curious, what are you monitoring on?
Richard: thanks man ! i agree with that lead, kinda tried to force it in so it sounded like the original tune, it does sound very harsh haha! ill keep in mind everything you said next time i make a tune, this one is going to the ditch, the label guy only wants ''in label'' remixers so this is going in the trash bin ! lol
great ideas btw! |

Dynaudio BM5A. I know they're old, but I've had them for years and know their sound (plus have headphones and access to bigger speakers). |
