oh goodness...i hated having to install the carts on the headshells :whip: :whip: :whip:

one of the main reasons i bought my ortofons :)
jdat
just take that silly thing apart ... it's no big deal

The carts will come with screws, and usually with a little manual. But just look at the "construction", you'll see you don't have to be an engineer to mount them. Just some patience (and a steady hand :D)

easy, very easy, but the only thing is knowing exactly the placement on the headshell. its usually in the manual of the carts u buy
i think i saw a thread about u asking about cartridges before.. .what did u end up getting? assuming standart carts not concordes
like liquid said, that is why he purchased ortofons and my poor ass purchased stanton trackmaster IIs, no room for errors.

Thanks to all your replies, I end up geeting Stanton 680 EL II...
I hope do the things right,.. ill read the manual... Later.

Btw you have Technics? If you bought them new, you might have noticed there was a white plastic thingamagig coming with it.
That's a stylus alignment tool. If you insert the headshell in that object, the stylus tip should align perfectly with the edge of that white ... erm ... thingy :D

thanks for mentioning that,... i totally forgot about that tool, is just that i lost mine, so i always was accostumed to improvising and just applying what i thought was right.
Yeah, like Thy said, if you use the alignment tool, which you can buy at a dj/vinyl shop, u can find correct placement on the headshell.
