[Review] Ferry Corsten @ Best Buy Theatre (pg. 2)

Wow the BB theater is the man. All the major EDM events should be held there. Amazing staff + amazing organization. FUUck Pacha!
I am very disappointed with Ferry's set tough. I don't like him as a producer, although I thought he was a better DJ; but not at all. the only two tracks that save the night were PUMA and Citadel, everything else was pure garbage.
Cant wait to see A&B at this venue! :crazy: |

Had a great time last night. Like someone said, that venue is just perfectly suited towards big trance nights. As a dj, the stage / booth is as badass a setup as any venue I have ever been to.
Ended up hanging out in the bar area most of the night, so didn't get to hear that much of Ferry's set...but everytime I hit up the main floor, the crowd was loving it.
Really looking forward to Above & Beyond later this month. |

| I thought that the sound was just AWESOME. Plus, I really liked the lay out of Best Buy Theatre. Really can't wait for Above & Beyond later this month. However, I thought there'd be a tiny bit more lights like there were for Ferry when it was named Nokia Theater (look at his vids, the podium he was on had lights and everything). A bigger screen too. As they make more money here, I'm sure they'll keep improving little by little (just like some people said they did with the sound system!). |

yeah, the sound in there is ridiculously good. And I really like that they have smaller satellite speakers transmitting the sound out to the peripheral of the club where the bars and bathrooms are. Just a really cool touch, imo. |

seriously what happened to the meet up? i was there at 1am.. but i didnt see anyone so i went right back in. i saw Ay Star on the front of the stage later but it was too loud.
the night was great over all. Zack did a great job opening. i went in at 930ish it was just getting started. loved the fact that there was no line to anything.. the place was so big. it had a great vibe. so many places to chill.
Then hardwell went on. that made me go "meh" Wasn't really feeling him but the crowd was. somehow i dont think he was a good choice for opening for ferry. i mean he was doing a good job as a dj but i felt like that's not the kinda music i want to hear before ferry went on. but oh well, like i said the crowd was enjoying it.
then ferry went on and the place lighted up. i think it could have been a bit louder there though. it seemed like those speakers were not being used to their full potential.
i was looking forward to get to know more TAs though!! |
