Kicking patrons out as capacity control?

starting to see more of it now,

clubs(mostly EDM) overselling the venue, then kicking out innocent patrons for being "drunk".

happened to my friend in san diego(he tripped, even though we had a table, i had to tip the bouncer $40), and a friend of mine, his gf got kicked out of avalon fri night even though she wasn't drunk and stumbling.

have to be careful guys.

that happened at ferry at Sutra.. i was with some guys who had a table and the female security guard (she was the most anal one of the whole staff) said one of the guys was too drunk and he got escored out.. our friend tried greasing her but she wasn't having it.

Worst I ever had was Tiesto @ Mezzanine in SF way back in 2003. I think it was 2003. Anyhow, I was out back just taking a break then they came in and said everyone out back (50+ people, prob a lot more) had to go around and go back in the front to get back in. They didn't say why.

Went around (annoying in itself) and was stuck in the freezing cold for over an hour (prob closer to 90 minutes). Fire Marshall had shown up and said it was over capacity and they wouldn't let us in. I was so pissed. Came back in and Tiesto was already on. Again, was f'n pissed. Mainly because everyone in line was freezing their ass off because all our jackets were in coat check. The way that was handled was so piss-poor.

something similar like that happened to me at Orion in 2002?.. i was outside in the patio taking a breather.. fire marshall came and they kicked out EVERYONE in the patio through the back entrance .. i thought the party got shut down.. but i was wrong..it kept going on..

my bf at the time was partying his ass off and didnt notice i was gone...they even made the people who got kicked out stand on the other side of the street..being harassed by bums for 2hours..uggh

screw you Teknoclub! now those were some shady promoters...

Does that mean they will start kicking out the washers for being too drugged out?

If they get kicked out, there goes a sizable chunk of Avalon's revenue going forward.
