Amazing remixes/bootlegs/transformations of ****ty pop songs

I want to hear them.

You know, those tracks where you go "what the , why would I want to listen to a crap remix of a Britney Spears song?" but then suddenly it's some kind of groovy, classic prog-style monster. Or something.

edit - I guess any amazing remixes of pop songs will do, even if they aren't originally garbage. I just find it pretty entertaining (and interesting) when someone takes something like that and does something very unexpected with it.

Britney Spears - Overprotected (JS16 Dub)

Very good.

The Thin White Duke/Stuart Price/Jacques Lu Cont stuff never seems to disappoint.

britney - stronger (miguel migs dub)
this is amazing and a true testament on how much a producer can do with the source material. miguel migs used max martins melodies and chord progression and had them played on a guitar and it works well.

jodeci - freek 'n you (mk dub)
one of the classic mk works along with "for you", "burning" and the remix of nightcrawlers. one bumping garage groove along with that korg synth sound that mk popularized and a repeated hook of jodeci's singing and vocal stabs. it's sexy

lucy woodward - blindsided (scumfrog remix)
he reshaped one of the verses and made it the vocal hook of this pissboring pop song and then worked them over a chunky beat.

and

kylie - love at first sight (scumfrog remix)
that bassline.

madonna - nothing really matters (kruder & dorfmeister remix)
i like madonna's original but this remix is just something else.

emma bunton - crickets sing for anamaria (atfc's samba magic dub)
atfc revamp of the emma bunton cover of astrud gilberto's classic. take out all emma bunton and replace it with samba house.

Yeah!

And as mentioned above, I think that Stuart Price has previously done amazing works, which fall into this category.

Where the hell has Stuart gone, by the way?

Britney Spears vs. Lolo - Someday I Will Understand Why (XDR Mashup)

I've always liked the Oakenfold remix of 'Madonna - Hollywood'. And the Perfecto mix of 'U2 - Beautiful Day' although I guess the original of that might not fall into the ' pop song' category.

Fantastic, thanks for that! That Britney remix is something else, for sure. Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Very familiar, but I don't think I have heard the dub before... thanks :)

Avril Lavigne - I'm With You (Leama dub mix)

Even though on the dub mix, there's nothing more than a vocal loop of Avril singing "I'm With Youuuuuuu", it's still a great progbreaks track.
