Maybe sounds stupid, or very amateurish... 15 year later I will ask this:
for the love of my ballz.. what the hell means PHH?
CHH = Closed Hi Hat
OHH = Open Hi Hat
And I've never used a PHH consciously! |

| "Pedal hi hat"? I couldn't see what else it would mean. |

Oh yeah Robby you're right, I found in Google here too...
REFERENCE
But the question remain...
TR-909 has a pedal??? :wtf: |

It's meant to simulate a drum kit where the drummer strikes the hat by stepping down on the pedal without using a drumstick
open hi hat is when the pedal is when the hats are struck by a drumstick when the pedal is not pressed down
closed hi hat is when the pedal is pressed down and is struck by a stick |

only the roland standards apply to edm
BD - bassdrum
SD - snaredrum
CP - clap
CH - closed hat
OH - open hat
RC - ride cymbal
CC - crash cymbal
everything else is bongas, toms, cowbells, shakers, rattlers, woodsticks and triangles.

I've mentioned to the kits on the rompler synths not the drum machine synth...
But you're right, if doesn't exist on the original I can't understand why they put on their synth kits...
Sometimes I use it as a short open hat... |
