There's a rumour going round that the reason they have to broadcast the Green stage as well as Blue is because A&B won't allow their set to air? I wonder if there's any truth to it. |
i wouldnt be surprised. a&b are real s with broadcasts of their sets. i recorded a sander set once and it caught like the last 12 mins of a&bs set and they got pissed over that even though everything that was broadcast was already released. no unreleased material and they still got pissed. a&b can suck it. thats why i love markus so much. gives live sets to his fans because he knows thats what we want!
edit: oh and the quality was ty as all hell. like 48kbps kinda bad. yet they still cared. |

There's a thread going over on the MS Forum at the minute about liveset programming / how so many DJs are playing the same crap over and over / and how many of them allow their sets to make the airwaves.
When I have some time I'll respond to it, but I can tell you the number of livesets aired in 2010 by the top DJs is staggering. I think Markus had a total of 27 or something like that. |

Markus you bad boy!
AS for A&B I wouldnt be surprised especially if they are intending to showcase some new album tracks. Even if they arnt they are usually a stick on for no broadcast cuz they just dont allow it. It used to be because of exclusivity of tunes live but not anymore considering they are the most guily of any trance dj's to play the same tunes for so long in the same sets. See On a Metropolis Day for instance |

Yeh I think only Armin is as giving of his live sets for download. Shows they care about the fans for me. |

interesting ima go check it out in a few then. my personal opinion is that most djs dont want their sets broadcast not because they dont want their material released, but more so because they dont want people to know how little they change their sets. djing used to be about reading a crowd and adapting to it. these days its more like "okay this is my catalog now wheres the play button?"
major respect for markus for putting in the effort to actually program his nights and adapt on the fly. |

although of course the counter argument is that djs used to never have their stuff recorded as much. but to me thats not a good excuse for why sets cant be different.
major respect also to svd who really surprised me during mmw. he was actually upstairs on the terrace while markus was throwing down in the mainroom on this night and i went up there for a bit thinking he was going to suck balls (cuz well thats what he does these days) but he totally surprised me. threw down a techy ass terrace set with not a hint of cookie-cutter trance like his asot500 miami set. ive got videos on my youtube and theres 40 mins of the set on b@tv which is proof enough. but the fact that he adapted to the terrace sound was what blew me away. ive seen him plenty of times when he was on top of the tech-trance world but honestly that set he threw down was the best ive ever seen from him. maybe because it was unexpected but either way thats what a dj is supposed to be able to do. |
