Softsynths good for ambient effects

I'm wondering if there are any software instruments that excel in "Icing on the cake" type effects, like swooshes and ambient sounds, filler FXs, multi-part pads that swell and decay ect. Anything you know of?

Camel Audio Alchemy and NI Absynth both do this very well. They also have pretty complex envelopes and LFOs, so you can get pretty creative with swells, decays, etc.

Thanks for the info guys. I wasn't able to find a download for Shuniji which sucks cause that video totally sold it for me :p
Rodri Santos
z3ta, creating a pluck, a saw etc... is easy but creating a good ambient and sfx is , at least for me a bit difficult, z3ta has nice presets for this than you can adjust easily, it was just 20$ a few months ago i dunno his price at this moment but definitely you should grab it, amazing vst, his worst low down is the cpu usage but if you can handle is really handy.

There are two major synths for me in this category, and I know many will not agree but oh well...

Omnisphere and its killer matrix, GUI, features, and library, despite the fact you can't reverse the soundsources

and

Alchemy for its sampling features and despite its monotimbrality and again the fact you can't reverse the waves.

I like them equally. You can make killer pads, fx, synth leads, strings and co. I do believe that with those two, you hardly will need another synth for the next 2 years.

And yes they are worth every penny when you know them well. Knowing that even nomad factory helped Spectrasonics in the making of their fx and processors... that says a lot to me.

Its just about automation IMO.
