Dude, you have got to start using the search function. I mean christ even if you'd gone to the second or third page of this forum you'd have found the thread discussing it.

I think Pro Tools is still quite new so no one uses it.

What:wtf:

You sure are a talented producer with little idea about technical things:haha: Goes to show what I've always said; he who talks about gear all the time is just hiding his lack of talent.

I was just taking the piss... lol

I've used it before and it was good for multitrack recording, but otherwise I didn't like the work flow. I'd assume most people would know what ProTools is.

its the douchebag daw

:(

There's not much that's truly new with 9, Avid is just upping the ante for the standard issue version, including things that you previously had to pay extra for, and bringing it into closer competition with other DAWs in terms of music production (ADR, more voices, etc).
Von Pistol
Ya i did look through all the last pages and i must have missed it RANN. Sorry to let ya down once again ha

So nothing special about it then. Thanks

Depends on what you're looking for in a DAW. It seems very competitive with the standard choices, and if you have a history in editing it's an easy switch (if you're not already familiar with it).

It was an easy choice starting out because that's what I was learning, and I was given an Mbox.

^^ Its underfeatured and not economically competetive at all. Do not recommend.

Ditto.

PS
This is tranceaddict, assume that no one knows anything until evidence is given otherwise.
