hmm don't know if this is exactly a good thing. His sound is good don't get me wrong but we all know the Space crowd.
This could be a hit or miss which could ultimately up the trance bookings once AGAIN at Space.
Markus = good for Space because he plays banging beats.
Gareth plays much differently & sometimes does play a bit of fluff.
Either way I'd be down to see what happens, hopefully he knows where he's playing and plays harder than ASOT 500 (that set was very weak imo)

better to know then not to know... gareth is pretty versatile anyway. he plays dubstep/house/electro/breaks on his radio show quite often.

Don't get me wrong, I like Gareth...but he's not as versatile in his livesets as he is in his radio show. I've seen him 4 times: twice in Charlotte, Electric Zoo & most recently in Miami @ Dream. The first time I saw him was absolutely magical. The second time wasn't that great. At that time, several of his livesets had been broadcast and he was playing virtually the same set for a year. His EZ set was pretty good...he really banged it out(probably b/c he was playing before Markus =P). This most recent set was fantastic! My most favorite time seeing him....but that could be partially because the vibe of the club was amazing.
If I lived there, I'd definitely go...but I don't think it's worth traveling for, not for me anyway...

Yeah of course, I mean I'll go and support. I just hope this doesn't flop & LP decides to once again pull the plug on trance lol. You know how fine the line is at Space with these sort of things. Fluff free & the night could turn out to be a success.

i agree ... i mean, he does throw in some surprises here and there depending on the crowd. i missed dream (saw him at ultra- which was pretty good, some fluff but the crowd was tired so it was needed) can't say i'd go if i was in NC at the time lol
