you guys growing up in suburbia....
the tenderloin is a cakewalk compared to some of the nearby neighborhoods from where i grew up in.
youre a dude...you have nothing to fear in the cuts.

I've personally walked through the area a bunch and always felt OK. That said, I used to drive through it several days a week (lived on Turk & Fillmore and went through it often to get to and from the highways) and probably a good 20% of the time, there was always a big bust or a a murder on the corner it seemed. And when I'd ride a bus that would go through the area, often diverted (which would take forever, since it was an electric bus) due to police activity. And that's during the day.
Where I grew up was rougher (Crimmmmme HIllllss & Mercy Drive area of Orlando, Fla. I was a minority where I grew up, hehe....), but trying to compare the Tenderlon to somewhere else and act like is safe because it's not as rough is just ing stupid. Because it doesn't make it a safe area. It's not, no matter what way anyone tries to spin it. |
