Hey all! Its been a while since I've been on here. Here's my first near completed track since switching DAWs. Let me know what you think!
Richard Butler
Well crafted this. It's a good track, but with some work could be a great track. For example the break is real nice but the pluck synth line could be more exciting bu a few note adjustments on bar 4 and then also a lsightly differnt adjustment on bar 8 - to get that spine tingle feel.
The break sorta looses momentum - really work it hard and see what you can do there.
The drop is nice but starts to get a little repetitive melody wise - so again by using some changes on bar 4 and 8 will help, plus more loittle stutters anx fx hits here n there.
As I say great track but could be even better with some work - IMO, lol!

100% agree with above post.

Butler said pretty much everything I would have but I wanted to compliment you on your percussion sample choices and over all sound design. Nice and clean :)

Hey, thanks for the feedback! I agree, and really needed that to be pointed out. Wasn't sure if the break was enough with the approach I was taking or not. For once I tried to not overdo it with business throughout the overall track, but agree that the breakdown is a bit basic and less interesting/evolving. Not to really figure that out...
I think I will focus on the fx, perc fx, hits, and various sweeps. Don't think I'm going work with stutters since I haven't really used any throughout the song.
Beatflux
Too much repetition. I do not care for the percussion. It sounds way too busy. Drop is really weak.

I think the vibe is pretty great. I'll have to have another listen tomorrow though I'm beat.

more thanks!
Beatflux (or anyone): as far as the repetition, how so? (and this isn't a matter of disagreement, just curious...
Evolve: don't forget to have another listen! :p
update: I have been doing some minor adjustments in the break as far as hits, sweeps, etc...definitely the bass drops (still using them but making the sounds more diverse)...will be posting an update soon, but any thoughts still are appreciated as I'm trying to find the right balance in the breakdown...
