Well I'm ed. My latest track is in C# minor. I suppose I could transpose it, haha.

This is a ing stupid premise all the way through. So you should write your music in a certain key, so it's easier to harmonically mix (based on one guy's miniscule collection of house, house, house and trance, I might add) and therefore more DJs will buy your track? Does any DJ buy a record based on what key it's in? Of course not. You buy a record because it's a great piece of music, and great pieces of music can be written in any key.

System-J - I agree that my music is rather limited but I expect people to take the initiative to check their collections if they dont have same tastes in music.

Also, if a DJ has a choice between two good tracks that he wants to play and one is in key then you can be pretty sure which he'll pick. If more DJs are playing your track, then more people will buy.

Tenuous, I know. But essentially true.

LEEDS LEEDS LEEDS!! :D

Or could it be because most producers, as pointed out already in this thread, are utterly clueless, and therefore just end up going with A minor as a default because it's the first one on the list?

C and Amin are the exact same thing :stongue:

I'm pretty sure they mean the minor keys: c, f# and b.
