I'm looking at your wave-form and it's not okay. You've squashed the out of your dynamics and frequencies which shouldn't be that loud are absolutely over-blown. I have the sound-cloud player volume already turned down and I have my computer's volume turned down, as well. I had to turn down the volume even more than what it's already at just to be able to listen to parts of your song semi-comfortably. |

Big fail. Take the master volume and drag it all the way down. Then make sure you don't have any effects on the master (and if you do, and have reason for it, state that too), and bring the volume up slightly. If you have a PPM (peak program meter), you can use that on the master to check the level stays a good couple of dBs below clipping. Please check the render in an audio editor afterwards before uploading again. |

Not to take away from wanting to get more gear, but your dynamics aren't annihilated because you're low on RAM. The problem is that you're mastering too much, as it is. Getting more RAM so that you can do more mastering is like getting more gasoline so you can put out a raging fire. You shouldn't be mastering your mixdown, anyway. Getting more RAM so you can do more of what you shouldn't be doing, at all, is counter-productive, at this point. |
