I'm not terribly keen on getting into why each and every tune on here is here. The explanation for their presence is largely that they've been tunes that have either been long time favorites going back to my childhood, all the way up to tunes and artists I've only found myself absorbed in the last few years.

The reasons are numerous, from my absolute love of Otis Redding's voice, to the fun, good time nature of Parliament, and the outstanding production of an absolute cunt like Kanye West. It's not terribly well mixed, but attempts were made for some degree of continuity - but really, I cared a lot more about the content, as I hope those who listen to it do.

I do want to note the artwork. It's made from a picture of a house I used to play a lot of parties at while in school at UW Stevens Point, and largely represents (along with the tracklist) the profound impact those of you I met in school at Point have had on me.

Anyway, thanks for having me, TA. Appreciated.

Yay!

July 2011 is up!

I'm going to hold the June 2011 spot for Rebel (Hamid).

I think he wanted to fill it so I suspect he ran into unexpected obstacles. I'd really enjoy listening to a set where he shares the tracks that have influenced him through the years so I'll hold his spot.

Moving on, this is July and Rob's set is up. I am downloading as I type.

Thanks Rob, for your contribution!

:D
