It's for free, simple and fun: The brandnew 16 step music sequencer. A congenial cooperation of electronic musician Karl Bartos - ex-KW, co-composer of songs like The Robots, The Model, Tour de France, Computer World, Techno Pop etc. - and Masayuki Akamatsu - media artist and author of various iPhone apps such as Banner, Oscillator, Echochops. Executive producer is Jean-Marc Lederman. (read more)

This is one of the few times I actually wish I had an iPhone too, to toy around with this a little. ;)

But I'm just not the "mobile high-tech"-kind of guy, meaning: I don't see much use in spending money on gadgets like the iPhone that I allmost *certainly* will drop down some stairs or in front of a train or something like that... And then it's broken and I need to buy a new one. Nope, not for me. I keep my electronics secure on or under my desk! XD

What's the problem?

I mean: Is anything wrong with it or was it just now what you expected?

Honestly interested: Michael ^^
Von Pistol
There weren't any glitches or lag but i was expecting something completely different.

I suppose my hopes were pretty high and i forgot it was still an app for a phone.

Just wasnt enough capability with in the program for me i guess

I see - thanks for the honest feedback! :)

The way I see it the Mini Composer is more of a "creative toy" than a "pro-tool", at least at this point.

*imagines* Cubase with virtual synths on a cellular phone...

*drool* :)

Kind of behind in the times?

There's a lot of apps out there that you can use as a pro tool.

You've got Beatmaker 2, Technobox, Prochords, and Moog Filter just to name a few...

edit: Now that I think about it, there's already a ton of "fill in the squares to make a melody" apps.
Von Pistol
I checked out that beatmaker 2. It looks pretty sweet from the screen shots. Is it worth $20 though?
