Hey so i know this is a super saw (not trying to get flamed on starting another super saw thread(RANN)) and im just wondering is the saw phazed out the ying yang or what? I have been trying to recreate a sound like this but i cant get it to go good with the lower end of my mix.
any ideas?

LMFAO.
Yeah as the guy said it's a really super saw side chained. There is a layer going on too, it's been placed over a bass pad thing also side chained. |

OK i know that it is side-chained lol, i am looking for info on the actual synthesis of the saw itself. I read through that supersaw thread and not once did i see anything about making the saw besides that it is "6 de-tuned saw waves"
I have made my own SS but it doesn't sound as smooth as that one. It almost sounds too "grainy" if that makes sense. Whereas the one in that song sounds almost like its been filtered in a way to make it sound really clean or something.
I am using the sytrus vst and i have the unison up a lot but it still isn't sounding right. Maybe there is something i am missing?

supersaw is a separate waveform originally coming from Roland JP8080. You can just sample it if you dont know how to make it. Btw unison rarely works imo. |
