The date of the next Standard rooftop convocation is fast approaching. This one will be particularly special: we warmly (hotly, even) welcome our friends and e-funk experts Soul Clap together with the renown Wolf + Lamb duo for a day full of passionately eclectic music.
The fearsome foursome is on the worldwide tour to support their ravenously reviewed DJ-Kicks compilation, out on the legendary K7! label. For the last few years, Soul Clap and Wolf + Lamb have proudly and vigorously carried the torch for slower, deeper and more emotionally charged dance music, spreading their gospel to all corners of clubland. With the DJ-Kicks compilation under their belt, the boys join an elite cast of electronic music luminaries: previous installments included everyone from Carl Craig, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Tiga, Erlend Oye, Four Tet, Hot Chip and many others. These fellas are truly coming of age, and you should be there to witness it.
No stranger to getting strange, Droog dancemachine Justin Sloe will lively up yourself beforehand. Culprit beat bumpkin, Bas starts the show with his unique brand of plastic love. |
