Im very new to the club scene but not the music. I was just at the Amphitheatre where Markus Schulz played and it was not a great experience. Not because of Markus but becuase of the Amphitheatre. This was my first "real" outing listening to trance too. So now im looking for another Venue. I dont mind the drive as long as the place is awesome!! Suggestions please!!! If while you are at it you want to suggest other clubs in other states thats fine too... a road trip may be in order someday.

The Mainroom at Space in Miami would be my choice

I understand Orlando is a pretty good spot for EDM. What are the best spots there? I saw a video on you tube recently of a club called Firestone in Orlando. Any good?

JT you should come to see Gareth on the 7th of May. If you decide to I'll be there for sure, I'm sort of new to the club scene as well. :D

What kind of electronic music ? Notice you like Armin... is it anything like his music??? If so im friggin there!!

Gareth is a bit different, but give him a listen. The club experience is way different from something just recorded in a studio. Either way it will be fun. It's not til the 7th of May so you have plenty of time to decide.

Oh and are you going to EDC Orlando? that's the 27-28th of May and I'm sure that will be a huge blast for sure.

Orlando has a few spots for EDM:

House of Blues is my favorite venue, but there has only been two good DJ's since 2009, which was Deadmau5 and Wolfgang Gartner. They play electro house there for Hospitality Night every Sunday.

Senso recently had Marco V and Laidback Luke among some others...Sander Kleinenberg will be there this Monday. Its a smaller venue, but still a lot of fun. The resident DJ's play a lot of progressive house.

Firestone has had a few good DJ's, I am not opposed to that place even though it can be ghetto most of the week. I last saw Paul Oakenfold there, and Paul Van Dyk. Its a decent size venue with a history of drug busts...but I'd go back anytime.

The Roxy seems to be the new House and Trance venue in Orlando with past guests of Gareth Emery, Sander Van Doorn, ATB, Benny Benassi, etc. Above & Beyond will be there on April 28th, I'd go see them there rather than the Amp in Tampa. They also host Day Glow there, when its in Orlando.

Those are the main ones that I can think of as far as Orlando venues...

Dude - ya that Markus show in Tampa was ruined by the horrible tech problems in the first half of his set, I am sure they will get better. You should go to the Above & Beyond in Orlando. If not, may see you there for Gareth @ Space and EDC Orlando!

Yup, House of Blues is definitely the best but their bookings are sporadic...however, if you just want to go out with your friends and hear some good EDM...go on a Sunday night. It's usually packed, DJ Sandy plays a good set, and it's just simply a lot of fun. If you're hospitality, you get in free if you bring a paystub.

Suite B and Sky 60 are two venues in downtown Orlando that aren't talked about too much as well. They're both small, but I find that the crowds at both are pretty good and lately Sky 60 has been getting some really good bookings (Carlo Lio, Audiofly).

But ya, your best bet for trance is Roxy in Orlando. And I have to correct blitzkrieg...it's April 28 that A&B will be here, not May 28 (I'm sure he knows that considering he's got tix, lol).

Thanks everyone for all of your great suggestions! I will be referring to this thread for quite some time. Space in Miami will be the next stop for sure! Thanks agains guys!!

LOL - ya I had EDC on the mind. I fixed the date on my post...I hear that Suite B is having a Trance event this Saturday, some sort of anniversary thing going on.

Blitzkrieg,

Cant say I've listened to much Above and Beyond, could you suggest one of there albums? Someone told me they also do a radio show though not sure about that.
