i didnt realize how much CPR has changed since i first took it in the 90s when i was doing my red cross swimming/lifesaving program. i was just recertified for CPR and first aid this past october (got a nifty card to keep in my wallet too) and it was so different. breath to chest compression ratio has changed. its now all the same for children AND adults. lol |

Yeah a friend of mine was telling me this exactly a couple weekends ago when we reviewed the "baby" stuff. Although I thought you still needed to be re-certified every couple years back then too in order to be considered "active". If you try and perform CPR with a outdated certification you can be sued.
Well, unless you're underground that is... |

they told us that as electricians we should be recertified every year (even though most people dont even bother getting recertified) |

For a number of yeares I used to provide medical first response services with St. John Ambulance Brigade (http://sja.ca).
They would send us all over the place to keep people safe and respond to accidents and injuries. Very highly trained, very professional.
Contact them and they can get you a full team at your event/site. |
