I can match up on snare and treble riffs, or even just a melody... |

| not the actual beat matching but the mixing in and out, i dont have any problems getting the 2 tunes in time (yes u dont need a beat if ur experienced enough) but when to drop the tunes in order for them to sound right together. |

It helps to know how many beats it takes for the bass of a track to kick in. Barthezz - On the Move (Dumonde) for example kicks in at 96 beats, whereas most tracks kick in at 128 beats. A lot of hard house tracks kick in at 192 beats :) |

I think thats one of the easier tunes I have to mix, its straight forward. Every time I've heard ferry mix it he's used the same version that I have, the Tsunami press.
A hard tune to mix IMO is spectre - spectrum......just downright difficult. |

Chiller Twist - Stringz Unltd (Shelly Mix)
I think Tiesto hardly plays it live because it is literally SOLID to mix. The vinyl is amazingly quiet and when the gain is turned higher than the other track it makes the beat sounds horrible (check isos3 transistion) I rarely play this track in sets mainly because of this aswell, real pitty :( Amazing track too. |

Yea i can see why u would say that, i had trouble at first on this one. But now ive figured out how to drop the bass in as soon as the melody starts. U just have to mix it for a while before u bring it in.. hard to explain

If u talkin bout the orginal of members of mayday or the pvd mix then i dont know u have probs. I can mix that song with any record. Try playin Insigma-open your eyes then mixing off that. I can ride them forever!!
For me tho, PVD-out there and 3 clubbers-children(JunkfoodJunkies) is hard to mix. I try to drop the bass in when it comes in the first time then cut it over when it breaks into the melody.. |
