Movies @ IFC Theater

Have any of you guys ever checked out any movies at the IFC Theater? They seem to show a good deal of limited release/short run type of films. I ask because a movie I'm really looking forward to seeing premieres there next weekend. IFC is the only theater showing it in the city. Should I expect most shows over the weekend to sell out? I hate buying movie tix in advance, but if I have to I guess I'll bite the bullet and do my best to stick to the time I chose.

It depends. I dont really see movies right when they come out but I have seen "popular" type movies and never had a problem. (As popular as it gets for Indy flicks) They have few seats inside the theaters. I've been to 2 inside - 1 was normal decent size the other had like 30 seats MAX. |

| To really answer your question - I haven't seen movies the weekend that it premieres over there. I've seen them a few weeks after. |

And thanks Mel! That's pretty much what I wanted to know. I guess I really ought to try for advance tix, tho they don't seem to be on sale yet. |

Are you into the Tribeca Film Festival??
I saw a movie last night. It was called Last Night lol. It was a good drama about infedelity. Starred Sam Worthington, Keira Knightly and Eva Mendez.
