| I don't ask much from you s but I need some suggestions for a program to use to make a photo slideshow... My grandpa died last night and my dad is writing an obituary and his sisters want him to make a slideshow for the funeral. What would be a good program to use online or to purchase to do such a thing? :gsmile: :gsmile: :wtf: ;) |

prezi.com is free and online based so there will need to be an internet connection to view it, but it looks nice.
Once you drop in all of the photos you want create a path to each then.
To make your Prezi autoplay, and loop:
Go to Show mode
Hold down the bottom right arrow button, and choose a timing interval
To stop, just press Next or Previous. |

| It depends on how you want display them. For example one way is to create a slideshow on a dvd. The advantage is people don't need to be computer savvy to watch and you could show them using a dvd player/laptop and digital projector at the reception. There are also numerous online service that allow you upload photos and create slideshows for free. With that method all you need to do is send a link to it and anyone can view no matter where they are located. |

Keep it simple, go for PowerPoint.
Prezi is nice but tbh it's a bit of a gimmick. The timing controls are weak too.
Powerpoint is your friend or even Windows Movie Maker or www.jaycut.com if you want to layer music on properly. |

Best Option: Powerpoint
Free Option: OpenOffice.org Impress - Download by going to openoffice.org and clicking the "I want to download Openoffice.org" link. |
