| people that buy and wear diamonds. It's my fur coat of the luxury item I despise. I don't understand the appeal of them, why they cost so much or why people give a about them. They are great for use as industrial drill bits, that's it. The entire concept behind "precious" stones has been something which I have an irrational hatred towards. |

They also work really swell in needle cartridges for the invention of the automatic phonograph. |

I don't think many ppl care about the appearance of the diamond per say its more about competition/social status/measure of if you've made it etc. Women judge one another by the size of the wed/eng ring. Guys could care less but we don't want to be seen as cheap s, so we are shamed into it. |
