I dont know but he was extremely poor in Glasgow on Sunday night there. Very boring set considering the tunes he has at his disposal at the moment. ASOT 500 hangover/ups maybe? The sound system didnt help either with its so top heavy bass which made even the good melodic tracks sound very empty indeed.
Hope its a good show tonight in any case. |

He just started very techy, very slow. Didnt seem to flow at all. It wasnt deep and melodic at the start either. It was all that downtempo tech stuff like Above & Beyond are playing, all Arty and Emery sounding stuff. Big tech drops but airy breaks all the time. Sucked the energy out of everyone.
Then when he started to try and turn it round everyone was bored and wanted to go home. Just couldnt get into it. And then when he played Take A Moment for instance the sound was so bad you couldnt hear the big euphoric riff. Left when he had about 90mins still to play. He was that poor along with the bass heavy sound system and poor acoustics of the venue.
So it was a combination of things. Im sure he is just let down after how big ASOT 500 was. Now he is probably sitting in for the Ibiza season at Space and the birth of his child. Cant blame him but I wanted it to be such a great show. |
