You’ve been in this biz for 20 years; what’s your take on why this project is hitting such a nerve?
The music that we’re making is different than the music that’s coming out now. I mean, it’s all house or techno so there is a common denominator, but when we came out with those songs and now the music on The Drawing Board, we knew that it was different. I wasn’t sure if it would catch; I just knew that it was good in our eyes and I knew that, in every city around the world, there’s at least 500 people who would be like us so it would hopefully catch with them too if it got out there, which it did. |
