Cool concept, but it lacks the drive in the beginning to keep the listener listening. By the time I got to 3:00 I was like, "Finally, some cool fully pallet."
The bass line is very very quiet, which maybe you intended, but bass and kicks are what drive dance tunes. The Kick is deep and clean however, which works well here.
It's definitely something I could hear played early at a club or dropped by someone like Lee Burridge when developed fully.
The breaks are expected and need to offer something more too. They are well timed, but maybe stuttering or delays could help add more variety.
Lastly, by the time I got to the end, the track got tired due to its lack of drive. The vocal got rather aged as well.
Keep working it though; you've got a good start on a cool pallet! |

| I agree with darthstep. Also try and keep things ever changing like that main stabyy synth - thats a way to add more interest and journey. Like the clarity and vibe here. |

This chord progression probably isn't going to be up to par in the clubs these days, this is very 1994 chord progression. It does have a nice deep production value though, to an extent. I wouldn't say change the chords, you could really make it work. I'm just saying this to help. The reverb on that synth seems to overtake the track. Some automation in that regard would help quite a bit, it may offer some room for the other elements to breath, some opportunity for you to introduce some rhythmic variations, and offer an opportunity for you to focus on some more broad instrumentation.
After listening to most of the track, those stabs on the synth don't carry it very much, the reason I mention that is because the track relies on it more than any other element. I would do a little A&B, listen to some stuff you really really like in this genre, not to emulate, but to reevaluate. Good luck. |
