DJ Jon Cockle - "Entropy Deep" [deep progressive trance]

Here is a showcase of my favourite deep, dark and serious progressive trance at the moment. There is also some menacing techno, and a couple of forgotten classics in there for good measure. I hope you enjoy and please leave me some feedback if you get the chance.

Tracklist is in black because it is more fun if you don't know what's coming next, but if you are desperate then please just highlight it :-)

Had this on at work the other day whilst trying to do some writing, very nice. Really liked the floaty start, some cool tunes in there. Nice to hear Children Of The Sun again, took me back to some good times :D

Loved that acid track, think it was the Dyno one, very cool

Will put it on the phone for some repeat listens away from the distractions of the office!

Yeah I had a listen to this earlier. It's good stuff, it's nice to hear you play something a bit slower. I'd like to hear you build from this slower stuff through to your usual peak-time fare. There was a track in the second half that I found pretty irritating (might have been the Dusty Kid track), but mostly good stuff and I was listening blind so no preconceptions. I agree that the intro was lovely, too.

There’s two words that keep on describing this 2 hour mix as it progresses: Beauty and Power, both Suzy Solar’s and Jon Cockle’s mixes show off the incredible beauty and intense power that can be found in trance music

Thanks a lot for the comments guys :-)

djdk - yes I have very fond memories of Children of the Sun. Was my favourite tune from when I started going clubbing and have always thought it was one of the most 'serious' tunes that all the big guns were still happy to play.

System J - I knew that the square technostuff in the middle would divide opinions and I am still wondering whether my it was the right option to go with it, especially just after one of the most energetic tunes in the mix. I'm still quite happy with it though :-)

Williams - I think you are thinking of another mix!

Williams is a bot.
