Apar from the sheer enjoyment of collecting and using gear for it's own sake, I'm more and more comming round to the notion you can make world beating tracks with a laptop and headphones as long as your imagination runs free.

Psh I hope someday I can make good music on a laptop and headphones....

that's all I have to my name. :)

The hdd's werent encrypted and one of the songs on his new album has already been leaked.

He also lost his entire new album that he was working on. Everything gone.

Sounds like that old BT chesnut; studio execs breathing down your neck, work still not finished so "....er, my computer was stolen!".

And let's face it. What's more underground than a stolen & leaked dubstep track?

Pretty clever marketing if you ask me.

I agree. And he came from a huge mainstream background. Personally, I don't find anything special about his music. Seems like he's just doing the same thing he was doing when he was making emo music, appealing to the lowest common denominator marketing niche listeners. Teeny boppers.

Well, whatever he's doing, it is working for him.
