Have any of you got a claim to fame ???
Have you appeared or going to appear on the TV or been in a Magazine or Newpaper for something...
Please let us all know where it was and what it was for... :gsmile:
I was recently in the Angler's Mail (August 3rd edition) page 30 for Catching a 6lb 4oz Bream And my first ever common carp of 10lb 2oz in Stowbridge near Kin's Lynn...
Yes i have framed it and it's hanging on the wall...

the radio was first, we had to say about how these buildings were in our school so e cud get new ones with lottery money!
then after that theres is the TFM website from various sugarshack outings!
also when some guys from RTL-2 were in crasher we kept sneeking on camera but Volksjoolz off here has a big interview and everything! :eyes: |

| Ive been on tv for a few seconds. A good number of music videos have been filmed at my school, and they just let students be the extras for it. I was in the video deftones - back to school, and good charlette - little things. Both were fun :) |

Local New's paper this year in Barrie's Bay.. for Camp.. it was a 50 year celibration in Wilno.. and we where at church or somthing.. and so they took pic's ..
amm in 95 Nov 11 on tv.. for marching down Queen st. to city Hall for the independnce.. or sotming another of poland.. and then again in 96... and somthing for may of 3 in 96 at church standing on Attention.. i guess you might say it.. all of them where for polish tV on sat. at 11 on chanle 7 city tv.. lol..
ohy..
oh and my cuzin. he's sorta a fame bot in the polish area cuz he's second or first place winner of taye kean doe.. of ontario in Junior.. i think.. not too sure.. but somthing around that.. |

I did 2 commercials in Sarajevo before the war when I was about 9
Other than that I’ve been on Canadian TV a dozen of times, mostly during soccer matches. I was interviewed 4 times during the WC in Toronto’s soccer pubs :toocool:

My so called Claim to Fame has nothing to do with music (cause I have no musical talent whatsoever), but I did appear in a poster for work once. My bosses boss told me that they "needed my image", and had me attend a photoshoot at work. They would use my picture in recruitment ads at Universities in Canada. I was kinda embarassed about the whole thing because my friends and co-workers would clown around about it.
Then, they cancelled the adds cause the company I work for changed its marketing strategies. I thought I was in the clear, and that the poster and brochures would not be released. This was 2 years ago.
Then, about 6 months ago, my manager pulls me aside, and shows me another poster, about 4 times bigger than the other one, and a booklet with my picture on the cover, and tells me that the poster will be put up in each of the company's call centres, and that all staff would get a copy of the booklet. This was something I didnt want, but went along with it anyway. Now they call me Poster Boy (we have 1000 plus staff at our centre). |

I used to appear on TV almost every year, because I studied at Brasilia's Military School and , on Brazilian Independence Day, we march for the president (together with real military corporations) - obviously, TV broadcasts it and, depending on where I was, I would appear on TV (I usually did, don't know why). Must sound weird for some of you, but that's how we celebrate Independence day here (no people jumping around, just troops on the streets - Braz style, hehe)
I also appeared in a newspaper talking about my school (not the military one, but another). Since then, I learned not to trust in the press. The question was:
"What do you think about that class?"
My answer:
"It was boring at first, but the ending was marvellous"
What was published: "It was perfect! The vibe really increased our self-steem and I'm just feeling like I know everything. Marvellous"

Local Newspaper a few times actually when i was younger and we used to fight alot..whenever we got caught or whatever they would do a tiny story..nothing big..jus enough to embaress us...LoL.
and Magazine..my car atleast was featured in a magazine named Super Street awhile back...its an import car magazine that shows hooked-up Hondas, Acuras, Toyotas, Nissans etc etc... |

I was in the local paper and news for being on the first team from my high school to go to the state competition in Academic Decathalon.
I also participated in the longest bunnyhop line, in 2nd grade. |
