That he is.

Wish I had more money and energy. A shame I'm not hitting up all of these parties in this 5 week stretch.

A lot of these shows are actually pretty cheap. There was promo codes out there that could be used for $10 tickets

Well damn. $10 for Ferry...probably would have done it then.

Oh well, Jaytech and A&B should make up for it a bit ^_^

I love Ferry Corsten. His sound, his character, his production, his mix sets. Everything Under the Blue Moon gives reason to make him a favorite. Not just a favorite, but, if I had to pick a DJ I'd want to hear everynight he would be the one.

I arrived early to catch K2XL's set. He's had the distinction as of late of opening for Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk and now Ferry. I was really quite pleased with his programming. The lounge type atmosphere early coupled with his pick of true house music really went over well. Then, has the bodies began to arrive, so did the energy. K2XL picked it up and started to drop some huge Electro Tracks, just enough enticement to get people out to the dance floor. People were hooting and hollaring and loving his set. I liked it too. I especially liked how the last 1/2 hour or so before Ferry went on, he played some really chill trance mixed in with some banging beats. The breaks were melodic and relaxful as the beats made people want to jump up and down. I was right there in the middle with everyone.

Now onto Ferry. Ferry stepped onto the decks and from the start just nailed it. Every song, every mix was just flawless. The emotion and energy behind his set was extraordinary. He's such a humble guy. I only counted a couple of "Jesus" poses. LOL! But you could tell he was enjoying himself and whenever the dj's sweating you could see that he was really working. The highlight of the night was when he played "beautiful" still one of the most awesome tracks ever produced. I get chills everytime I listen to it. Probably because it has such powerful lyrics. The break down on it was definitely extended so that we could sing it over and over. I loved it.

There were also a few other Gems mixed in there too and I just danced my ass off. The end of the night ended as it should. Being able to shake Ferry's hand. Snap a couple of photos, and say thanks to the promoter for bringing him back after a two year extended absence. I can't imagine it being another two years in fact, I wouldn't mind hearing him again at the Quad or something in the very near future.
